Statement from the DFA Board for the Vigil organised for Sunday 28 January, 6 pm

In solidarity with our global journalist community, the Documentary Filmmakers Association of South Africa, condemns the killing of journalists amid the current Middle East conflict. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families impacted by the loss of our colleagues.

Urgently, we call upon the international community to intervene and safeguard journalists in the region, facilitating their ability to fulfil their crucial role in holding power to account. Let us stand united in advocating for peace and the preservation of press freedom.
