UCT TV Studio is looking for a new Chief Technical Officer. The successful candidate will have a combination of industry production experience, technical and equipment knowledge, management experience, great people skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex challenges.

Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in video technology, film production, electronic engineering, project management or field relevant to
job description
• At least 5 years professional experience in video, film or studio production
• Experience with multi-camera studio production
• Management or project management experience
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to conduct self-guided research relevant to job description
• Ability to manage and work collaboratively with others
• Ability to receive instruction and delegate to others
• Strong work ethic and desire to deliver high quality work, on time

The following will be advantageous: Teaching experience, desire for continuous learning, experience of working in a diverse team, experience with preparing cost estimates and managing budgets, an understanding of the film and/or television industries and a desire to remain abreast of their technical developments.

Responsibilities:
• Day to day running of UCT TV Studio activities
• Management of UCT TV staff
• Management and upkeep of UCT TV Studio facilities and infrastructure
• Oversight of video and audio production
• Duplications and format conversions
