Requirements:
1] a passionate desire to pursue a life-long career as a documentary film maker;
2] the ability to write – ie. the ability to express yourself and communicate through writing in the English language;
3] be in possession of a Laptop;
4] have a work-station where you live with reliable Wi-Fi & sufficient data;
5] be able to travel to / attend workshop sessions in the Parktown, Johannesburg area;
6] the applicant may be a film student but equally needs not to have had formal tuition in film making or have made a student film.
Please be advised that the following should not apply:
1] general job-seekers;
2] those who may be non-punctual, unreliable, short on initiative, unable to meet deadlines, unable to work under pressure.

The National Film & Video Foundation of South Africa has created an opportunity for a young black aspirant documentary film maker to be mentored for a period of 4 months in documentary development and production by independent South African documentary film maker and DFA member Kevin Harris.
