After more than 10 years we have decided to increase our membership fees to R400 per annum, from 1 October 2022. If you are feeling flush and can afford to pay more, or make a donation to the DFA, please do so. If you have just paid your fees at R350 and you’re feeling generous, please feel free to throw in an extra R50 for good measure.
How else can you support and benefit from DFA?
- Attend a free docLOVE screening at Bertha House and enjoy a great film and free popcorn! Pop a green or blue (any colour will do) in the donation tin to keep the machine popping;
- Buy a DFA journal for R100 (these can be bought and collected at docLOVE screenings) with cash or snapscan;
- Volunteer an hour of your time as a mentor for our docCONNECT programme where you can assist a fellow filmmaker via Zoom with a specific challenge or just as a sounding board for their projects;
- Assist our fundraising team with proposals and budgeting;
- Share your completed film through our docLOVE screenings programme;
- Sponsor a bursary recipient for their annual DFA membership fee;
- Complete and share your profile on the DFA website in the Find a Member section, for example this great one from Palesa Lebone.
